You never really said anything about what OS and servicepack level you use. I assume you tried to to upgrade to the latest fingerprint software unless you already had the latest installed?

I have an Authentec AES fingerprint reader with truesuite, and their support says the trouble is with windows biometrics thanks forany help Tom. I’ve tried three of aee four versions of the finger print software including the latest and I have the same issue.

You could also keep an eye on task manager to see if the memory usage increase abnormally fast and what process 22810 is responsible fo the high memory usage if any. I would suggest you to try re-installing the Authentec AES drivers and check if it helps: My company got about Lenovo laptops. If you use the pre-installed OS or do a clean install with the latest drivers only no other applications installed from Lenovo i’m sure this will not be a problem.
